TRAVEL SOCCER

Ages 8-14 – $200 + cost of the uniform (New Travel Team Uniforms 2022)

• We participate in the OHTSL and OSA leagues. Games are typically within an hour's drive or less from Louisville. Occasionally tournaments and a random game may be a little farther.
• Teams play at least 4 home and 4 away games for league play.
• Previous soccer experience is highly recommended.
• Please complete the online travel tryout form prior to coming to tryouts.
• Attending tryouts does not guarantee a player a spot on a team. The player must be deemed travel ready by a qualified evaluator.

Expectations of Travel Soccer Players & Parents

• Travel team costs are $200 per season (which can be divided between multiple payments). There will be additional costs involved for any tournaments attended.
• Being part of a travel team is a commitment. Parents must make every attempt to have their children at ALL practices and ALL games on time and with ALL their equipment. Playing time in games can be affected by practice time.
•  Shin guards, socks that cover shin guards, and cleats are required for both practices and games. Players who arrive without will not be allowed to participate as it is a health and safety issue.
• We play in all weather conditions so please dress accordingly. Games do not get canceled due to weather with the exception of thunder/lightning and this will be at the discretion of the referee.  
• Louisville Soccer Club Team uniform is required to be worn for all games.  The uniforms include one of three colors jerseys, shorts, and socks.  After you have been informed that your child has been added to a travel team roster, uniforms should be purchased as a set at Soccer.com.   Please order your uniforms ASAP because they can take several weeks to come in. 
• Each individual coach will make the practice schedule for their team.  If you have scheduling conflicts these should be discussed with your coach immediately. 
• Please be respectful of others.   Absolutely NO negative comments, heckling, or yelling at players, coaches, or referees will be tolerated.  There is to be no coaching of your child from the sidelines.   As a parent/spectator, your involvement is to be a positive one.  Please cheer on the children and leave the coaching to the coaches.
• Players/parents on a travel team are asked to help out with the annual Louisville Soccer Club Tournament(s) in lieu of paying the registration fee.

TRYOUT GUIDELINES

All players interested in playing Travel MUST attend tryouts, even if already playing on a travel team. Travel tryouts will happen yearly before Fall sign-ups. Attending tryouts does not guarantee your player a spot on a team. Teams are formed based on age-appropriate birth year levels.

NO PAPERWORK OR MONEY is needed at tryouts.
Players should arrive in soccer attire and bring a ball. Please arrive with your player to sign them in. LSC Travel team placement notifications will be via email to families within a week after the final tryout date.
The cost to play Travel is $200, plus the uniform cost.
There will be one boy and one girl team per age group unless the number of children would justify more.
