Scoring Policy

Scoring Policy

One of the goals of the Louisville Soccer Club is to provide an enjoyable experience for the children in our surrounding communities as they exercise and play the game of soccer.  One of the ways we keep the game enjoyable is through our player draft.  Teams are balanced skill-wise during our draft at the beginning of the season. In the event our draft does not balance teams properly, we have adopted the following scoring policy.

If a 5 goal differential is achieved, the coach of the team with the disadvantage may add one player.  If an additional player is not available, the coach of the team with the advantage will remove one player from the field. Once the goal differential is less than 5 goals, the coach may add the player back to the field.

We will follow the following scoring process when determining  brackets for the tournaments.

  • Win = 3 points

  • Tie = 1 point

  • Loss = 0 point
